What We Believe
It is not possible to give an exhaustive listing here of our beliefs and all the doctrines of
God's Word but here are some of the important truths we hold to That Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way of salvation
- That Jesus Christ was born of a Virgin, was Crucified, Dead and Buried
- That Jesus was raised on the Third day and that He ascended into heaven
- That before His ascension he was seen by many including his immediate Disciples
- That Jesus was both God and Man - He was the Son of Man
- That Jesus Christ reigns on the right hand of God the Father in the Glories
- That Jesus sent the Comforter (the Holy Spirit equally God)
- That Salvation comes by faith, trust belief and repentance toward God
- That the Holy Spirit is in all true believers in Christ
- That the original Scriptures (Old and New Testaments) are the revealed truth of God and infallible
- That baptism as taught in the Scriptures is by full immersion, however we believe that it is possible for some true Christians to have varying views on baptism and some secondary doctrinal differences
- That a Christian should study the Scriptures diligently and seek God's will and guidance in the conduct of his/her life
- That all who profess faith should strive to live holy lives
- That a Christian should be compassionate as Jesus showed us, peacemakers, humble and exhibit the marks of a true relationship with God
- That those who are strong in the faith should support the weak
- That a Christian should be tolerant to other people's beliefs but clear and uncompromising about the teaching of the Christian faith
- That Christians should be real examples of people who trust and believe God - salts of the earth. We should be examples in kindness, patience, faith, love and truth, not deceiving others or being ourselves

- That God is the Creator of all things seen and unseen and in the literal six day creation
- In the literal and physical resurrection of the body
- That there is a Sabbath - a day of rest for the children of God
- In the sacraments - the breaking of bread and wine as the Lord commanded and in obedience through baptism
- That there should be freedom of conscience and liberty of the individual
- In the necessity, importance and regular practice of Prayer
- That Christians should examine their own hearts before God and not be hypocritical
- That Christians should upon clear proof of Scripture be obedient to its teachings
- That Christians should be fervent and continual in preaching and spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all peoples in all nations, starting at home
- That Christians should be impartial, fair, just, not snobbish or racist and that racism is a sin to be openly rebuked
- That women, men and children should be treated with respect and dignity
- That those entrusted with the ministry of Gods word in God's church should not Lord it or be deceivers over the people in their congregations but should be examples of faith and love and humility to the
believers thereby gaining a worthy respect
- That it is right to expose error of doctrine, teaching and life to keep distinctive the pure teachings of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
- That Jesus Christ is the Judge of all the earth and that all people must one day give an account to Him of the things done in this life
- That there is a heaven and a hell and that these places are by nature eternal
- That there are Angels and Powers - beings of Great power that serve God continually and that there is a Devil, Satan and hosts of spiritual wickedness and demons who strive continually to destroy the souls of
men and women boys and girls - that they are still active although in the final analysis defeated forces of evil
- That there is a soul as well as a physical body, that there is a spiritual as well as a physical existence
- That true Wisdom and Knowledge comes from walking with God and experiencing the blessings and light He gives
- That all people are born in sin but God is just to infants who have not attained to knowledge of good and evil such in His wisdom he preserves
- That people are responsible for their actions and behaviour unless they suffer some illness whereby they cannot possibly be said to be responsible - God in his Wisdom knows who such persons are
- That we should love the Lord, the Creator, His Sacrificial Son, the Holy Spirit with all our hearts soul and mind and our neighbour as ourselves
- That God in his all his attributes is worthy of all honour and praise
- That no person (save Jesus of Nazareth, God's Son) is righteous or justified before God and that we can only be made acceptable, justified, forgiven by the free gift of God
- That Jesus paid the full price of sin for all those who trust Him by Himself suffering in their place - the Just for the unjust, the Innocent for guilty
- That God has demonstrated His amazing love to all people of all times in the Suffering and Sacrifice of Jesus Christ
- All other things as are clearly taught in the Holy Scriptures which are able to make us wise, truly obedient to God and save our souls and bodies
